Alarming Risk In Breast Cancer UK—Why Not Screened Early?

When we hear the words “breast cancer,” many of us may be caught between a rock and a hard place. It’s an enduring myth that younger women under 40 rarely develop breast cancer, and only elderly women are at a relatively higher risk. But did you know that now, more than ever, younger women under 40 are facing a rising risk of developing breast cancer in the UK? It might come as a surprise, but it’s important to call attention to this growing concern in younger women.

According to the World Health Organization’s cancer agency, forecasts suggest that by the end of 2050, breast cancer incidence in the UK will increase by 21%, and deaths are expected to rise shockingly, around 42%.

According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), 5% of women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, in this case, the risk of breast cancer will rise by 38% and a 68% increase in deaths globally over the next quarter-century.
